MOTHER’S DAY FOR GRANDMOTHERS IDEAS AND CRAFTS
Yes, I know we are not their mothers but isn’t it wonderful to share this day with our grandchildren? I always love finding activities to do with them. Here are a few ideas and crafts you could share with your grandchildren. Don’t forget to tailor it to their likes and age! I bet they will help come up with some creative ideas too!
COUPONS FOR MOTHER ON MOTHER’S DAY
Have your grandchild make a list of four helpful things to do for their mother. An example could be “I’ll set the table,” “I’ll walk the dog,” “I’ll help you with the laundry.” Have them create these things into coupons to be given to their moms on Mother’s Day. Here are few examples from Mashable.
How cute is this from Clementine Creative?
BREAKFAST IN BED
Help your grandchild create a “Breakfast in Bed” menu for their mother. Maybe go grocery shopping together!
THANK YOU PLACEMATS
Provide your grandchildren with markers, pens, crayons and construction paper. Have them draw a large heart in the center of the paper and decorate around the borders. Have them write their names vertically down the left side of the heart. For each letter in their name, help them come up with a thank you that starts with that letter. See my example below. If at all possible try to get it laminated so it can be used over and over as a placemat. It’s a treasure mothers will love!
Here are some sweet Mother’s Day books you might want to share with your grandchildren.
DON’T FORGET TO COMMENT ON YOUR MOTHER’S DAY EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR GRANDCHILDREN!
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR ALL ABOUT IT!
