I am 68 years old. I know, I look pretty good for being 68, don’t I?
I have 3 adult children and 5 amazing grandchildren… wait, don’t we all think our grandchildren are amazing? Mine really are, though!
I am a retired elementary school teacher. I spent 30 years in the classroom teaching mostly kindergarten and 1st grade. I now substitute WHEN I want to and only in the school where my grandchildren attend. It is a gift I cherish every day.
I have authored two books through Creative Teaching Press:
Celebrating Chanukah Eight Nights and “Kindergarten Homework” which sadly, is no longer in print.
I am certified Braille transcriber through the Library of Congress. Something I picked up years ago and now on occasion I volunteer to use my skills after dusting them off.
I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado then lived in Santa Rosa, CA in the beautiful Wine Country where we raised our family. Several years ago my husband and I moved back to Colorado. It’s that being with family thing that propelled us back. We love this beautiful State and I will be blogging about it often.
I invite you come along on this journey with me. I want to share with all of you this unbelievable experience called grandparenting! So buckle up and come travel with me!
